Miss a day of daily missions and it's gone permanently — they don't roll over to the next day.

Daily routine to maximize free Gems

Every day (5 minutes)

  • Complete daily missions — 30-50 Gems
  • Check Events tab for active rewards
  • Join ranked races — mission progress counts

Every week

  • Weekly challenges reset Monday + Thursday 5AM UTC+8. Don't miss — missed resets are permanently lost.
  • Check version history for new event windows

One-time (do early)

  • Complete achievement tree — 2,000-3,000 Gems total. Check Achievements tab — many players miss this.

The 3,500 Gem estimate assumes pulling on a Limited Banner with pity carry. If pity doesn't carry between banners, budget closer to 5,000 Gems to be safe.

Diamond cost table (Silver Keys & exchanges)

Diamonds are separate from Gems. The in-game Diamond info popup lists four earn routes — see the sources table below. This table covers confirmed Diamond spend surfaces from the live client (June 2026).

Diamond earn sources (in-game tooltip — confirmed)

The live Diamond info screen lists these four routes — confirm wording on your build before planning spend.

SourceWhat it covers
Tier PromotionFirst Time rewards when you promote into a new major driver rank (Novice → Junior, etc.)
CareerStory mode, Racing School, and career mission payouts
Daily MissionsDaily mission track rewards — claim before reset
Master PassFree and paid pass track milestones when the season pass is active

Novice Exclusive Expo Silver Keys cost 150 Diamonds each — see Gacha guide — Expo rules. Driver rank promotions: Rank up guide — First Time rewards.

First purchase double bonus — read before you buy

The Gem shop often shows a one-time first-purchase bonus (wording varies by region and build). Community reports on Global and SEA say the multiplier applies to whichever pack you buy first—not a separate free claim.

Common mistake (community-reported)

Players impulse-buy the large bundle (for example a ~1,000 Gem + bonus pack) because it looks like the best deal, then realize the same one-time double also applied to a smaller entry pack (often ~70 Gems + bonus) with far less real-money risk.

If you plan to spend at all, open Shop → Gems, screenshot the banner, and confirm the exact bonus text before tapping buy.

Decision checklist

  • F2P route: skip real-money Gems entirely—launch events and daily missions cover early pulls. See F2P guide.
  • Testing IAP: confirm whether the bonus is truly one-time; if yes, pick the pack size that matches your budget, not the flashiest tile.
  • Planning a banner pull: compare bonus Gems against pity planning—partial top-ups rarely beat saving for a full live counter route.
  • After purchase: treat remaining spend as normal price; do not assume a second double exists.

Pack sizes and bonus labels change between builds. Always trust the live shop over copied screenshots or region-specific threads. Purchase did not arrive? See top-up troubleshooting.

When to pull vs when to save

Gem costs shown are estimates based on SEA server data. Global server pricing may differ — check the in-game Event Shop or banner screen for exact costs.

Pull when

  • You have 3,500+ Gems saved
  • The banner car is SS-tier — verify on tier list first
  • It's a Limited banner (won't return)
  • Your current Extreme car is at ECU 3+

Save when

  • You have under 3,500 Gems total
  • The banner car is A-tier or lower
  • It's a Permanent Expo (the car will still be there next month)
  • A Collab banner is rumored within 4 weeks

Should you spend Gems on this banner?

1

Is the car in your tier list priority?

  • No: Don't pull. Save for better banner.
  • Yes: Continue to Step 2.
2

Do you have enough Gems for your live pity counter?

  • No: Save until you reach this threshold.
  • Yes: Continue to Step 3.
3

Have you claimed all free rewards first?

  • No: Claim launch rewards, events, codes before spending.
  • Yes: Safe to pull.

Quick rules

  • Save ~36,000+ Gems before pulling only when your live banner shows 160 pulls at ~225 Gems each
  • Check if event gives the car for free first
  • Never pull on banners with <1.5% legendary rate
  • Pity may reset each season — don't split pulls across seasons

Pity planning — read the live banner first

How to use pity numbers safely

Read Garage → Car Pool → your banner → Details / Drop Rates before trusting any web pity number.

Global Extreme Limited banners often show a hard pity near 160 pulls in community reports — use that only when your on-screen counter matches. Soft pity and 50/50 are Unknown unless the live text states them; see Gacha guide — read live banner.

Important

The pity counter may reset at the start of each new season or banner. Never rely on carrying pity across seasons unless the live banner says so.

Planning math (if live count = 160)

  • 160 pulls × ~225 Gems ≈ 36,000 Gems — budget example only when the banner confirms both numbers
  • 1 pull = 1 Gem key from the banner interface — confirm Gem cost per key in-game
  • Pity carry: counter may reset each season; do not assume pity carries to the next banner unless the live banner text says so
  • Never pull unless you can cover your live hard-pity counter in one banner window

Current pity status

Check the "Drop Rates" tab in the current banner for your progress and the exact Gems-per-pull rate.

Don't pull until you understand your live counter — spending 100 Gems on a banner and stopping is almost always wasted.

Common Gems mistakes

5 Gems mistakes that stall progression

Pulling without covering your live pity counter

  • Pity resets mean partial pulls are often wasted.

Spending Gems on fuel refills

  • 50-100 Gems per refill = 2-4 days of daily mission income.
  • Only worth it during double-point events.

Ignoring the achievement tree

  • 2,000-3,000 free Gems sitting unclaimed — check Achievements tab now.

Missing weekly challenge resets

  • Resets happen Monday + Thursday — missed resets are permanently gone.

Pulling on the first banner you see

  • Check tier list first — make sure the car is worth it.

Frequently asked questions

How many free Gems can I earn per month?

Active F2P players earn 1,000-1,800 Gems/month from daily missions, weekly challenges, and events. New players with achievement backlog can earn up to 4,600 Gems in their first month.

What is the pity system in Racing Master?

Read your live Car Pool banner first — hard pity count and Gems per pull are on-screen. Global Extreme banners often cite ~160 pulls in community copy; treat that as a planning default only if your banner matches. Counter may reset each season.

How many Gems do I need to buy an Extreme car?

3,000-6,500 Gems depending on the car and banner. Before pulling, save enough to cover your live hard-pity counter (often ~36,000 Gems if the banner shows 160 × ~225 Gems per pull — confirm in-game).

Should I spend Gems on fuel refills?

No — outside double-point events, 50-100 Gems per refill costs 2-4 days of daily mission income.

Do Gems carry over after season reset?

Yes — unspent Gems carry over. But pity counter may reset.

Which Gem pack should I buy first for the one-time double bonus?

Read the live Shop → Gems banner before any real-money spend. Community reports say the first-purchase multiplier applies once—confirm exact wording in-game; many threads warn against impulse-buying the largest bundle when a smaller entry pack also triggers the bonus with less spend.

What to do next

Once the resource boundary is clear, move into the route that owns the actual next decision.
